Clock for a Space

People feel the necessity of knowing the time frequently during the day
to orginaze their daily lives. Public clocks are very useful and widespread
around the world for this purpose. They are accessible at anytime by
anyone and are one of the most convenient and easiest ways of telling
the time.

My idea is to interpret the concepts of "time" and "space" and embody
their interaction in the form of a clock.

This clock has been designed for busy public places with an atrium,
such as museums, shopping malls, business centres, schools, or open
spaces, like squares and courtyards. Since the aim is to place it in a
number of places with various characters, I preferred to use a neutral
font that can suit many moods and environments. To achieve the aim of
making an eye-catching, understanable and visible object even in the
crowd, I slightly tilted the numbers and placed them to face various
directions. This aims to increase the visibility from every directions,
including from above, which together with a lighting system indicating
the passing time by play of colours, becomes an eye-catching object
even in the crowd.
